Mentoring has already proven to be successful as a means of breaking down barriers and supporting progression.

Balance the Board's founders wanted to take a different approach to mentoring; to make it easy, flexible, and informal, while making a significant difference to people’s careers. They wanted to create more impact, increase the reach, and build a scalable platform that could evolve and endure.

Today, Balance the Board runs a number of mentoring programmes, hosts conferences, webinars and networking events, bringing together like-minded people and creating a network that will mentor and support the next generation of inclusive leaders.

Balance the Board is designed specifically for people already in leadership or functional management roles to help them move successfully into senior executive and board level positions. With a broad base of mentors drawn from many sectors of industry, Balance the Board provides a framework for mentors and mentees to connect and establish a relationship that works for each individual.

The Balance the Board team is committed to proactively supporting the development of individuals who aspire to progress in their career by connecting them with professionals who can help guide them.

Since its inception in 2022, and its previous incarnation Plan B Mentoring, Balance the Board has been run as a not-for-profit business. We rely solely on the generosity of our team, sponsors, supporters, and our mentors, all who donate their time freely to support us. Please contact us for further information on how you can support Balance the Board and join the community.
